PRSA Dallas will host the third annual PR Workshop for Nonprofits on Friday, July 28, at the Dean Foods corporate office. This half-day workshop will be led by PRSA members as a chance to give back to the community by lending their time and expertise to deserving local causes. For these cause-driven organizations, it’s a chance for them to hone their messaging, digital marketing and media relations efforts for North Texas Giving Day and fall giving campaigns with tips and best practices from experts.

If you work with a nonprofit, you won’t want to miss this workshop! The event has sold out for the past two years, and we predict a similar count this year.

Members and non-members of PRSA Dallas are welcome to attend. Registration cost is $25 per person and includes breakfast. (Fee will be refunded to guests in attendance after the event only.) Registration is limited, so please sign-up quickly to reserve your spot! The PR Workshop for Nonprofits take place from 9 a.m. to noon and will include three engaging sessions:

  1. “Website Tips and Tricks,” presented by Chris Vary (co-owner of Vary Creative)
  2. “Pitching the Media,” led by Dallas Business Journals’ managing editor Jason Roberson
  3. “Marketing Feedback,” where PR practitioners will be available to discuss your organization’s goals and marketing problems.

When: Friday, July 28, registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Event: 9:00a.m. to noon

Where:  Dean Foods Company, 2711 N. Haskell Ave., Suite 3400, Dallas, TX 75204,
Ph. 214-303-3400. From the parking garage go to the concourse level and then take the set of elevators to the right of the security stand. It will say Kitchen D Café. Go to the 3rd floor and go to the left when you get off the elevator then the first left and down the hallway to the meeting room.

Parking:
Access Garages A, B, C and D through entrances on North Haskell Ave., Weldon St. and off the Central Expressway service road. They have recently implemented a ticketless parking system. To enter the parking garage, you must input your phone number or any 10-digit number of your choice. There is no charge for parking at this time. You will enter the building through the concourse level and take the elevator or escalator to the ground floor and then another set of elevators to the 39th floor.


DART:
Cityplace offers easy access to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system and the DART light rail station. Access the DART station from the Concourse level.


Cost: $25 fee to reserve your spot (Fee will be refunded to attendees only after the event)

  Cancellations are due by 5 p.m. on FRIDAY, July 21, 2017.  If you need to cancel, contact Liz Kennedy at LKennedy79@aol.com.  No refunds will be made after this date.  No shows will be billed.
