Coming Soon: NuPros Happy Hour and Crisis Communication Workshop

Save the date for a crisis communications workshop! It’s not a matter of if, but when a crisis will hit! Hear from crisis expert, Meredith Suntich, vice president at Fleishman Hillard, at the upcoming NuPros Happy Hour on Thursday, July 13.

This event is FREE and open to anyone interested in the topic. You do not have to be a PRSA member to attend. Registration info is coming soon.

PRSA Dallas members, here’s how you can help. If you know a NuPro (PR professional with 0 – 5 years experience) who you currently work with, mentor, or stay in touch with, please forward this event information their way. Or, better yet, attend this event with them. Your support in someone else’s career is very impactful.

Mark Your Calendar: PR Workshop for Nonprofits on July 28. Register here.

PRSA Dallas will host its third annual PR Workshop for Nonprofits on Friday, July 28, at the Dean Foods corporate office. This half-day workshop will be led by PRSA members as a chance to give back to the community by lending their time and expertise to deserving local causes. For these cause-driven organizations, it’s a chance for them to hone their messaging, digital marketing and media relations efforts for North Texas Giving Day and fall giving campaigns with tips and best practices from experts.

If you work with a nonprofit, you won’t want to miss this workshop! The event has sold out for the past two years, and we predict a similar count this year.

Members and non-members of PRSA Dallas are welcome to attend. Registration cost is $25 per person and includes breakfast. (Fee will be refunded to guests in attendance after the event only.) Registration is limited, so please sign-up quickly to reserve your spot!

Volunteers Needed for PR Workshop for Nonprofits

The third annual PRSA Dallas PR Workshop for Nonprofits is scheduled for Friday, July 28, 2017 at Dean Foods in Dallas, and the committee is seeking volunteers to help out with the session, “Solving your marketing challenges.” This 50-minute session will break up our tentative 100 attendees into small groups for a discussion led by a PR practitioner. The purpose of this session is to provide real-time feedback to our guests, as many of them rarely work with consultants or PR firms.

We are seeking around 10-15 PR pros with at least 5 years of experience who would be interested in chatting with the attendees about their nonprofit goals, current marketing problems and other topics. Breakfast will be provided. Please contact Nelli Tokleh at NelliTokleh@gmail.com if you are interested in participating. More information about the workshop will be posted soon on PRSADallas.org.
