Pamela is a past president of PRSA Fort Worth and a longstanding active member of PRSA Dallas and currently serves as co-chair of the PRSA Dallas APR Committee, was a 2019 member of the PRSA Dallas board of directors and chair of the marketing committee.

Following the Board of Directors receipt of notice of Jennifer Cho's resignation, the nominating committee, led by chair Brooke Traister, APR, was convened to select a qualified candidate to fill the position of president-elect. Per PRSA Dallas Bylaws, the position of the president-elect is filled by the Board of Directors. The nominating committee recommended Pamela Thompson, APR to the Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors subsequently approved Pamela to fill the role and complete the 2020 term of the president-elect and serve as president in 2021.

Pamela's leadership, service, and dedication to PRSA Dallas and her expertise in the communications industry made her an obvious choice to fill this role but the friendship, warmth, and charisma she has shown me are what will lead to her, and the chapter's, success in 2021 and beyond. I couldn't be happier to see her in this role.

Congratulations, Pamela!

James Shackelford, APR
