Marrying Content Strategy with SEO

The line between content strategy and search engine optimization (SEO) is going away, as SEO is now an integral part of effective content strategy. If you don’t think about SEO when developing content, your audiences won’t see what you’ve created, and it will be difficult to differentiate from your competitor’s content.

And, content strategy today is much more than just developing content. To make your content work hard, it needs to include topic prioritization built on differentiation, searchability and optimal linking. The days of just posting content is no longer enough to maximize its performance.

Join us for a special, two-hour breakfast event on Friday, September 7th featuring Taylor Cole, global head of marketing communications at Expedia Group. Taylor will share effective content and SEO strategies and examples to help inspire organizations to be smarter with content strategy. Taylor will be joined by Keith Nowak who has developed compelling content in the travel and consumer technology industries for more than two decades.

In addition to her experience leading PR for Hotels.com and marketing & communications for Expedia Group, Taylor Cole Longacre has more than 14 years’ experience with integrated marketing for technology, travel, health care and consumer brands globally. She’s also a travel expert for broadcast TV and syndicated radio programs. From the hotels with the best technology, to the destinations with the best views, Taylor finds excitement in venturing beyond her own backyard and in sharing tips and tricks on getting VIP treatment and the best deals. For many of her travel adventures, she and her dare-devil, ninja contenting husband like to skydive, compete in obstacle races and seek high points (rollercoasters, mountain tops, skyscrapers and the like). With 20 years of communications experience, Keith has been successfully building awareness of product, technology and travel brands across multiple eras of mass media - from when print was king to today's online-first environment. Working throughout the corporate value chain - from manufacturers to suppliers to distributors and retailers, Keith has experience telling a story from a variety of industry perspectives.
