Join PRSA Dallas and ColorComm on Saturday, June 22, for a conversation around the constant struggle between authenticity and assimilation. As workplaces become more diverse and strive for inclusivity, we will discuss expectations around professional attire, hair, make up and individual style. Where are the boundaries around authenticity and how do advocates and allies work together to have safe conversations?

Ryann Richardson, Miss Black America 2018-2019 and co-founder and president of ExecThread, will unravel the many interpretations of beauty and the way those influence the recruitment of diverse professionals.

The executive director of Helping Hands for Single Moms in Dallas, Noelle LeVeaux, will moderate this important conversation and share her experiences as a diverse professional helping diverse women re-enter the workforce.

Ryann and Noelle will:

· Provide a common glossary around diversity to encourage conversation around these topics

· Discuss the balance between assimilation into the existing culture and staying authentic to one’s own identity

· Share stories about key decision-making moments in their lives and careers around these choices

· Help professionals learn to navigate these realities in the workplace and beyond

The Center for Talent Innovation, Diversity and Market Growth reports that “publicly traded companies with two-dimensional diversity in leadership are 45% more likely to have grown market share in the last 12 months.” According to the Boston Consulting Group, companies with above-average diversity scores reported 45% average innovation revenue reported by companies in their study, in comparison to the 26% average innovation revenue reported by companies with below-average diversity scores.

Don’t miss out on this timely discussion! Registration includes a brunch buffet by MudHen and beauty items from Mary Kay.

Bring your questions for the panelists or tweet them to us in advance @prsadallas.

Space is limited, so register now.
