Hosted by the PRSA Dallas Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Join us as we host a happy hour to unwind and reconnect. In recognition of PRIDE month, we’ll chat with two special guests, Carla Eboli, executive vice president at Energy BBDO, Omnicom and Sam Santiago, national director, diversity & inclusion at the American Heart Association. They’ll discuss PRIDE Month and how allies of the LGBTQ community can be supportive of our colleagues and friends

Carla Eboli Bio

Carla Eboli is a communications professional with practice in Latin America and U.S. With over twenty-five years of experience in communications, Carla has strong knowledge of Public Relations, Advertising, Multicultural Market and D, E&I. She has been with Omnicom for almost twenty years, working for agencies both in Brazil and the U.S.

She joined the BBDO family in 2019 as EVP of Multicultural and prior to BBDO, worked as the first- ever CMO of Dieste for 11 years, promoting the agency’s growth.

Before moving to the U.S., Carla worked as Director of Healthcare at Ketchum Brazil (Sao Paulo). She graduated with a degree in Journalism in Brazil – she has a passion for writing – and currently lives between Chicago and Dallas with her husband. She is a very proud mom of two grown-up “kids”: a daughter,  who also works in advertising and stepson, who practices law.


Sam Santiago Bio

Sam Santiago is an award-winning diversity, inclusion and equity professional with more than 30 years of experience in the travel, hospitality and health industries.  In addition to previous leadership roles with American Airlines and Hilton Worldwide, in 2014 Sam joined the American Heart Association (AHA) as the first-ever leader exclusively dedicated to the development and execution of its diversity and inclusion strategy – a role that focuses on employee resource groups, training, mentoring, communications, supplier diversity, multicultural marketing, governance and volunteerism, to name a few.

Sam was the recipient of the American Airlines Earl G. Graves Award for Leadership 2010, for his work in the advancement of diversity and inclusion.  In 2012, he was honored by the Obama Administration with the President's Volunteer Service Award for his work in the development of global corporate volunteering.  In 2014, he was recognized as one of the 50 BIG Influencers by the Dallas Convention and Visitors’ Bureau.  In 2019, he received the Heartbeat Award from the American Heart Association, a recognition bestowed for the first time to a small number of leaders.  He has also led the AHA in receiving recognition by Texas Diversity Council with the Excellence Award for Healthcare Diversity and DiversityInc’s Top Regional Companies List – ranking #9 in 2017 and #6 in 2018 and 2019 and #5 in 2020.

Sam attended business school at the University of Puerto Rico and studied French at the famed Alliance Française.  He holds a Training Manager Certificate from the Training Clinic (California), a Nonprofit Management Certificate from CNMConnect (Texas) and has been a Certified Diversity Executive ™ since 2015.  He has been a practicing Buddhist since 2003, travels regularly with family and friends (200+ cities in 54 countries) and in recognition of his patronage and leadership of the arts, he’s been the mayor’s appointee as chair of the Dallas’ Arts and Culture Advisory Commission since 2019.
