Pegasus Awards


PRSA Dallas presents its Pegasus Awards each year to recognize the most outstanding public relations and strategic communication efforts in the Dallas area and to provide a constructive critique by a distinguished panel of judges for each entry.

PRSA DALLAS CELEBRATES 2019 PEGASUS AWARDS TO HONOR TOP COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGNS AND PROFESSIONALS

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Dallas Chapter recently lauded outstanding public relations and strategic communication efforts with its 2019 Pegasus Awards. Winners were unveiled at a cocktail party, held in the Dallas Design District, that featured networking, lively music and an energy-fueled awards presentation hosted by Alanna Sarabia from WFAA’s Good Morning Texas.     

In total, 28 winners were honored in a range of categories. Top honors were awarded to SPM Communications for the program campaign, Nothing Bundt Cakes Delivers Joy with “Thank You For 300" and Children’s Health for the project, Children's Health Uses Data & Research to Create Industry-Leading Content Program. Special Awards were given to Buckner International Vice President of Communications Scott Collins for PR Pro of The Year, Buckner International Communications Team for PR Team of the Year, Donna Coletti, APR for Norm Teich Award and Thomas Bennett III for President’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Chapter.

PRSA Dallas Chapter also marked the occasion by recognizing an exciting year of diverse, transformational programs capped by a record-breaking surge in membership, which propelled the Chapter to the fifth largest nationwide.

Special Awards

PR Pro of the Year was awarded to Scott Collins, vice president of Communications at Buckner International where he recently celebrated 25 years of service. Scott was recognized for creatively managing the brand of a large, historic nonprofit, producing incredible returns with a minimum of resources, being innovative and highly skilled, and most importantly, being a trusted leader in the organization.

PR Team of the Year was bestowed on Buckner International’s Communications Team for operating with a striking combination of strategy and creativity, driven by the unique mission of the organization with an objective to protect and promote the organization’s 140-year-old brand.

Norm Teich Award was awarded to Donna Coletti, APR. The honor is given each year to a PRSA Dallas member who demonstrates Norm's drive and involvement in volunteerism and community service.

President’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Chapter was given by PRSA Dallas President Brooke Traister, APR to Thomas Bennett III. The award is given annually to a member who has gone above and beyond to serve the Chapter.
