Celebrating Excellence in Public Relations Across Dallas–Fort Worth

The Pegasus Awards honor the most outstanding public relations, communications and marketing work produced in North Texas. Whether you’re part of an agency, an in‑house team, a nonprofit, a startup, or a solo practice, this is your opportunity to showcase your best work, earn professional recognition, and celebrate alongside the region’s top practitioners.

For several decades, PRSA Dallas has proudly upheld the legacy of the iconic red Pegasus — a symbol of innovation and excellence perched atop the Magnolia Hotel — by recognizing campaigns, projects, teams, and individuals who elevate the profession across our community.

Who Can Enter

Both PRSA Dallas members and non‑members are invited to submit entries.

Programs and projects must originate from or be led by professionals based primarily in Dallas/North Texas.

Eligible work must be produced between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2026.

Key Dates


Early Bird Deadline: August 24, 2026, 11:59 PM (CT)

Regular Deadline: September 8, 2026, 11:59 PM (CT)

Late Deadline: September 21, 2026, 11:59 PM (CT)

Entry Categories

The Pegasus Awards include three entry areas:

  • Programs – Multifaceted campaigns using multiple strategies and tactics
  • Projects – Single tactics such as media relations, social media, publications, digital communications, or influencer promotion
  • Special Awards – Individual and team recognitions (Young Pro, PR Pro, Student, Educator, Agency, In‑House Team, Best Solution Provider, Best Digital Innovation)

Each category is judged using a detailed scoring system aligned with national PRSA standards, including Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) Research, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation (RPIE) criteria for Programs and Projects.

How to Enter

Submitting your entry is simple:

  1. Start at the entry page to provide contact information, entry details, and payment.
  2. After payment, you’ll receive an email with a Google Form link to upload your one‑ or two‑page PDF summary. Refer to the Entry Guidelines on what to include and what to upload to present your work.
  3. Include a link to a downloadable file of your company / agency logo(s)
  4. Include up to 5 links to supporting materials within your summary document. Providing links can be provided on a second or third page of your summary. They should not take away space from the summaries.
  5. Name your PDF summary file using the required format: CategoryCode–CategoryName–CompanyName–EntryTitle.  Example: PG1–CommunityRelations–PRSADallas–PavingTheWayForGrowth
  6. Only credit card payments can be accepted.

Entry Fees

PRSA Dallas offers pricing with the best rates for members, plus an early‑bird discount for both members and non‑members. If you’d like to become a member before submitting your entry to take advantage of these and other member benefits, click here.

Program and Project Fees:

  • Early Bird: Members $110 | Non‑Members $165
  • Regular Deadline: Members $220 | Non‑Members $300
  • Late Deadline: Members $300 | Non‑Members $450

Special Award fees follow the same structure unless otherwise noted (Student and Educator of the Year have no entry fee).

FAQ

Who can enter the Pegasus Awards?

Members and non‑members may submit entries. Some Special Awards require at least one PRSA Dallas member on the nominating team.

What time period must entries cover?

Work must be produced between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2026.

Can I submit the same program to multiple categories?

Yes. Individual tactics from a program may also be submitted as Projects.

How are entries judged?

Entries are judged by another PRSA chapter to ensure objectivity. Judges provide written feedback for every entry.

What is the most important part of my submission?

Your summary document — one page for Projects, two pages for Programs — addressing Research, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.

Can I submit multiple entries?

Yes. You may enter as many categories as you wish.

How do I pay?

All fees are paid online via Pegasus Submissions Payment page using a credit card.
